We went on the minibuses to visit our local library. We met Elena and Nick, who work at the library and they explained how the library works. We found out where the books were kept and how we could borrow them. We had a chance to look at all of the books in the library. We all became members, which was very exciting as we could borrow a book to take home. Miss Hall read a story called Fortunately, Unfortunately by Michael Rosen. It was a good story as we could all give thumbs up for fortunately and thumbs down for unfortunately. Before we went back to school we read our new Talk for Writing story, The Enormous Turnip, to the library and they enjoyed it very much. The library is looking forward to seeing the children again soon when they return their borrowed books.
